How this got started...

As you probably know if you read Ginafish.com or look around with any regularity, I am a big supporter of Isara. A couple of weeks before our anniversary vacation, a thread in its "Feel Good Forum" was started called
What do u have for a meal when dinning out?
So, of course, I looked at our anniversary as a chance to contribute to the thread by embarrassing my husband at every opportunity and to take pictures of our meals and the atmosphere we were in at the time.  The rule was I would not take more than 3 pictures at any one place.

The first night of our weekend, we had tickets to go to a dinner theater called Murry's Dinner Playhouse.

The show we saw was "Singing in the Rain" based on the old musical which included 'rain' splashed on the front row audience members. The food was buffet style with a huge alcohol list. We both thought the food was 'so-so', but the play was the main attraction anyway, so we didn't mind. Of course, a beer before you get there and a glass of wine with the meal helps too.
There are a lot of people to watch, the stage to study and meanwhile, you try to eat before the curtain call.

Which means I forgot to take a picture when I first sat down, resulting in a plate missing some food. He!
Ham, overdone asparagus, a roll, and chocolate cake is still here, as is the Zinfindal, but I can't recall the rest of this meal...

The Saturday of Dining
Breakfast:
GC1

Hash Browns, Link Sausage, Corned Beef Hash, and a Biscuit with Sausage Gravy (on left)
Cottage Cheese, Peaches, a flaky croissant with Apple Cinnamon filling, and a Breakfast pizza with Kiwi and Peaches (on right)
A Large Tomato Juice and Water to wash it down.

plate2

A morning buffet filled with everything imaginable in an American Breakfast experience. Cereals, an omelet station, a salad bar, desserts, fried food, greasy food, fresh fruits, and plenty of coffee.  I can't believe I forgot to eat grits!

We tried to eat a lot to accommodate our busy schedule and to keep up our energy level. It would have worked too, except that we couldn't find a light lunch place so we suffered in the afternoon for eating so much.

Lunch:

Can you help me? I had a great drink but don't know what to call it! In fact, I pointed to it in the case. It tasted a little like Sprite or 7up. Click Contact if you know! It only has foreign words on it! Yikes!
The meal, a bland Shrimp stir fry, much to heavy for the heat and our schedule.
art wall

The art wall (and the mystery drink)  was the best part of lunch!
Dinner:
Cozymels...ah how I remember you well.
Before I was married, I ate out quite a lot, because I didn't know how, nor had the time to cook. This was one of my favorite chain places.
The Flaming Queso presented by Carter. Tada!

pork

Mmm...Pork! Over 1/2 taken home!

scallop

My dish, shrimp and scallop enchiladas! And yes, over 1/2 taken home for leftovers!
The Sunday of Dining
Well...Saturday night left us with leftovers, which was fine, because we were in a travel trailer with a refrigerator...However...the air conditioner ceased working... so we decided to go to a hotel. It had a complimentary breakfast. And in gratitude to my husband for not making us sleep in the heat, I opted not take photos of our breakfast. But just so you know...at Comfort Inn they have a GREAT breakfast! Waffles, Cereal, fresh fruit, cereal, bagels, burritos, hard boiled eggs, sausage biscuits, plenty of coffee, milk and juice. And no...I didn't eat all that! I had a bagel and coffee, thank you! :)
Lunch:
We are heading home...the trailer is attached to the truck, leaving our dining options restricted to huge parking lots...
We head for Colton's Steakhouse as it occurs to us we haven't eaten enough meat yet. HA!

I am very tired by this part of the trip, and once again forget to photograph my food till its almost gone. And because of the 3 photo rule, this is fuzzy because it was my last chance since I took a photo of the 'atmosphere' first. Personally, I don't like REALLY seeing what I just ate. The best thing about the atmosphere here is eating peanuts and letting the shells fall on the floor. The mother in me is so relieved when someone finally appears to sweep!
