A First Travelogue The 10th Year Wedding Anniversary Little Rock, Arkansas August 3rd, 4th, and 5th of 2007 |
| On the Saturday, after we toured all of the history, I had worn hubby out. His legs were tired, so we thought it'd be a good idea to go back to the travel trailer to rest. If you read the food page, you know what happened next... the air conditioner was frozen and it was HOT! We turned it off and opted to go see a movie before dinner to let it defrost. We watched the movie and were still so full from lunch and breakfast. We knew it was too early for dinner and that the trailer was probably still too hot. So we did what we like to do to kill time, we drove around and 'got lost'. Our version of getting lost just means to drive around aimlessly, my sense of direction is honestly superb, so I always know howto backtrack or get us on the right track. All day long we had driven by these HUGE homes, and finally we had time to just cruise the neighborhood and look around. So this is our 'tour of Little Rock'. |

![]() These homes aren't in any particular order, so the light will be coming from all sorts of directions. I love the 'castle' look of this house. |
![]() When flying by this house, on the right, I thought of an English cottage with it's colorful roof, deep in the forest with all the greenery. |
![]() Drive by picture taking is an art. I am not a master of this art. This was the best photo of this home that I like to imagine is Meditteranian. Now if only it had a secret portal to Crete. Do you think it's cooler over there? |
![]() You simply can't take pictures of homes in Arkansas without quite a few being the Craftsman variety. Although this home is probably newer than most of the ones in Arkansas, I couldn't resist taking a photo for all the pink flowers that go so well with its taupe paint. |
![]() Hmmmm...maybe this was my driveby English Cottage, or maybe there's a theme in the neighborhood? |
![]() Now this sharp steeple makes me think of Gingerbread Houses, but isn't nearly as detailed as homes that really are classified as such. Just look at the size of this house, and imagine the cost, due to it's HUgE neighbors. |
![]() We had to drive by this house twice. The first time, we were going MUCH to fast to get a photo, and I absolutely HAD To! Does it not scream Swiss Chateau? But luckily, while we were turning around to go back to this house, we stumbled upon the Catholic Diocese of Arkansas. Take a gander at it below |
![]() It really was impressive to see, tucked away behind a neighborhood. ![]() And close up it was cool too, and then it was time for dinner! |
