Worn out

by Ginafish

This morning at 5:45 a.m. I woke up bright eyed and … um grungy? with an idea for a blog which I can’t remember right now.

When I got a pc, I knew eventually I’d have to add programs for it that involved my website and since I have my OWN domain name and am not using wordpress or blogger, it meant a little bit of research, trial and error, installing and uninstalling. By the time I had found my ftp information and found programs I was comfortable with, three hours had passed by and I was tired of seeing the word “ginafish”. Being sufficiently brain dead, I decided to postpone blogging.

I decided even though I had done all that work I would postpone blogging after quickly redoing my template. Nope, I don’t really like it and will probably change it in a few days, but having some design that I don’t like more than the previous just pushes my desire to ‘gitrdone’ sooner.

I had a huge chunk of time on the internet today. My mother-in-law says my father-in-law was trying to get out of today’s planned cookout by staging chest pains, but she was winking while she said it. She took him to the ER last night, and by 11 a.m. one of his daughters and I made an executive decision to cancel the planned cookout since it was unlikely he would be released from the hospital in time. Unfortunately, it was almost 7:45 p.m. before they saw a doctor. The good news was that it wasn’t a heart attack, but something is going on with his heart so he has to stay and have tests tomorrow.

Say a prayer for him and his wife and all their kids if you would. Thank you.

Tuesday is the last day of school for my kids, then it’s summer time, summer time, sum sum summer time, summer tiIIiiIIimme! (yes, song lyrics are involved there, bonus points if you can at least name the decade that song came out)

I don’t know what we are going to do with them this summer. E’s boredom last year was intolerable for him, and us, his parents. We decided that if we have to, this year we might force piano lessons upon him. Anything athletic would be pure hell, and while he might not be musically inclined, at least he could suffer in silence … or while learning scales. :D We’ll see.

I managed to cram in a lot of info in this entry…I wish I could remember what I wanted to blog about 15 hours ago… if I remember at 3 a.m. I’ll be sure and let you know.

Any suggestions for solitaire activities for introverted boys? Ack!
