Wow! 3 years this month! My first entry was in December 2005. Mostly, my blog has been pretty quiet. Running in the background of the millions of blogs around the world. I’ve not made huge efforts to publicize it or take up ads so that I can generate money from it. I do it purely because I like writing. I do it to post stuff for my kids. I do it to purge negative thoughts that I dare not speak. I blog so I can record what happens on vacations and my kids experiences as they grow up. I blog so that I can ask readers opinions on issues sometimes.

Today, I had a blogger friend register their blog on facebook and share the link with me. I was more than happy to click “Yes, this is the author” for that blog. And then a wild hair gripped me and I submitted two of my blogs, this one and my isarablog. What if REAL people that I REALLY know start to read Ginafish?!? What have I done??

What if they read old posts??!?

I went and read a couple of old blog posts today. Sometimes I even entertain myself! An old post from after Christmas two years ago? Reading it, I can soOoooOOo remember the whole 24 hours. CraZY!

Unfortunately, I also notice something when I look back on old posts. All my comments that readers contributed are gone. After my blog changed software, the posts were lucky to move, much less the comments. Even a lot of the images are missing. *sigh* Oh well, it’s the writing content that I put out there that was what I really wanted to save, isn’t it?

And to celebrate my ‘announcing’ my blog on Facebook, I also made sure to update my statistics software. Somehow, my old stats got lost in a wordpress upgrade. Oy Vey!

So anywho, hello new audience. My new ubber cool stats program sees you. And hopefully, you’ll register and post so all the other readers know you are here too.
