Did you ever dream when you were a child that you could fly like Superman? Or that you had an invisible plane like Wonder Woman? Her lasso’s were cool too!

I can’t really recall if I had any fantasies of being a Super Hero as a child. But sometimes the question still comes up, if you could fulfill a dream and have a super power, what would it be?

Me? I dream of being psychic. Sort of. I don’t want to hold your hand and tell you what I see in your future. I don’t want to interpret your dreams. I want to have the key to your thoughts.

I think too many times during the day, we come across people who aren’t telling us the truth. How do they really feel about your hair? What’s the bottom price for that car that still leaves the salesperson with a sizable commission? Facts and feelings. That’s what I want to know.

If I’m at a sale, I want to be able to pick up the item and ‘feel’ if the salesperson really marked this down reasonably or if it’s still marked up too much. If I’m at the hairdressers and I ask, “What would you do with my hair if you could do anything?” I want honesty. I know my hairdresser really tries, but come on, I’ve had a few dud hair styles in the last eight years. Yes, she has rolled her eyes a couple of times, but feel free to truthfully tell me that you’ll have to refuse to cut it that way EVEN IF IT MEANS YOU LOSE BUSINESS THAT DAY!

But, if it is a bad haircut, then I will realize that after a bit, and come to respect your honesty, and after a while not have to use my psychic super powers on you.

And just as a side note…I’d like another super power please. I’ve mentioned admiring the teleport machine from Star Trek. What if as a super hero, I could appear anywhere in the world? That would save money on travel expenses.

So then, my dream super hero would be the “Mysteriously Appearing Truth Woman!” Not able to leap buildings in a single bound, but able to ‘pop’ in at a trial and know if the defendant was guilty or innocent. Able to ‘pop’ into a Kroger and pick up a gallon of milk (at the right price) and be back in 3 minutes to pour it on the cereal.

Yes, I’m dreaming. So you out there, if you could dream up a super power, what would it be?
