Trying to be a good girl
by GinafishOkay, it’s been well over a month since I blogged 5 days in one week, so here ya go! Tada!!! Now, if you’d like to, you can go to http://www.isarablog.com/ginafish and read my Friday’s Feast. It’s was a nice easy one, but my answers are short without the usual number of photos.
My sister told me that I needed to blog about this incident yesterday so here goes:
At lunch, I was relating a story about E regarding a conversation we had. It went something like this:
E: Mom, when I get to the third grade, I want to move to the school where Grandma Beckie teaches.
Me: E, that school is too far away from our house to drive you there everyday, we’d have to move closer for you to go there. Then daddy would have to find another job, we’d have to move into a different house, we wouldn’t live close to Nana and Pop, Suzanne would have to change schools for the first grade, it would just be a whole lot of changes…
E gets really big eyes: Would you do that for MeeeEE?
Me: wEeeeEEll, not for you to go to school in Perryville where Grandma Beckie teaches…
So I’m telling my mom this and she says that they were talking about the Beebe school while Suzanne and I were at the dentist. He feels like the kids at the Beebe school are mediocre. (Thanks for teaching him a new word) ![]()
So then I say to my sister and mom casually: “Well, we wouldn’t move to go to school in Perryville, but maybe we’d move to go to school at the Hot Springs Math and Science School.”
Ethan gets excited and says “Math and Science??!??!! With other Geniuses??! I’d finally be among my OWN KIND!” Then he pretends to faint. Meanwhile, all the adults crack up.
Then I said, of course, we’d have to send Suzanne there to, and I asked her what she wanted to be when she grows up. A Rock Star. Of course! My engineer and Shakira. Ay yi yi!
