Good Weekend
by GinafishMy weekend got an early start with hubby being home by lunch time last Friday. WoohOo! So what do we do with an extra few hours on our hands?
Make Yogurt of course!

After we got that going, the kids went to the in-laws, and we went out on a date. Although we didn’t call it that till we realized we were by ourselves about 2 hours later… Our first exciting stop on our date/not date was to a jewelry store.
I custom ordered a ring! Our 10 year anniversary is this summer. The first jewelry store I went to told me that custom rings can take 3 months to create, so I went to another store, and had a complete ring within a week!
I had a family wrap made. I don’t wear anything but my wedding set usually, and I’ve wanted a family ring ever since we knew Suz would be the last, so this is it! A family wrap.
The stones are sapphire, aquamarine, engagement ring, amethyst, and blue topaz. It’s just perfect for me. ![]()
So we then went on a hunt for a computer part we discovered didn’t exist. But God had us running around town for a reason…He was trying to time things just right so that I ran into an old friend and her family at one store, and then when we went to eat, ran into a family from our old church. It’s nice to run into people you don’t mind running into, ya know what I mean?
Then on Saturday, it was date day again. Only this time, hubby’s date was with Suz, and my date was with E. For a couple of hours, E and I played, watched a Larryboy video, went to Sonic and had root beer floats and tator tots, and came home and played some more! Meanwhile, Daddy and Suz went to Baskin Robbins, watched Mermadia (a ‘manly’ Barbie Production (not!)) and went for a quick swim in Nana’s pool. We all had great times on our dates.
Sunday was Father’s Day, and the kids treated hubby to home made gifts, that well…I’m still not sure what they are. But E said that home made gifts have the most love in them, and they are full of love for their daddy so that is the best gift he could get. (Plus that Pectoral Cross coming later in the mail)
After church, hubby and the kids went to his dad’s house, and I went to my dad’s house. It was nice to relax with my family and my dad loved the cell phone my sister and I got him. He actually used the word “love” which I haven’t heard since I was 6 years old and gave him some twisted pipe cleaners.
Overall, a good, satisfying weekend. How was yours?
