Attraction
by GinafishAttraction is a funny thing.
When I first met my husband, I wasn’t really attracted to ‘his type’. A blond, always smiling go lucky guy. I wanted dark, moody, and petulant. I thought I wanted someone who was always pushing the boundaries of society. However that fit into the main scheme of things. At the time, I wanted to be someone who was unique, and probably thought that by osmosis, dating someone ‘odd’ made me unique.
*Shakes head*
I wish I knew then what I know know so I hadn’t wasted my time. My husband and I are opposite enough.
Plus, no matter who you are, you aren’t exactly like anyone else, so tada! By default, you are unique!
Some ways in which my husband and I are opposites:
We usually vote for different political parties.
He likes crunchy food, I don’t.
I love to read, he falls asleep.
He actually enjoys cooking, I would rather mow.
I can read a map, he can’t find his way around big towns without me.
He likes the cooking portion of Iron Chef America, I enjoy watching the judges eat it.
I sleep on my back, he sleeps on his stomach.
He acts like he doesn’t know where the refills are for the toilet paper, I act like his shoes belong in the living room. Lol!
But for all the ways we are different, we are similar in a lot of ways too. And since we’ve got more glue than cracks, I guess we are stuck with each other till the end.
In what ways are you and your sig other opposites? If you don’t have a significant other, do you want someone as similar to yourself as possible? Or are you looking for a normal person*?

*: yes, this implies that all 3 of you who regularly read Ginafish are not normal, but freaks! Woohoo!
