Do you recognize people by their laugh? Sometimes I can. I use to work with a big man, who when he’d laugh would almost wheeze at the end of it, while he pounded the nearest table for relief. A real belly laugh. When he laughed like that, my co-workers and I would laugh harder.
The problem with me laughing harder, is sometimes that leads to snorting. Yes, I’m a closet snorter. HA! I don’t do it most of the time, but if something gets me really hard, or if I’m in a horizontal position, it just happens. Snorting.
My mom gets a really high pitch sound “WEEE” sound going when she’s laughing. That makes me laugh too.
My daughter has different laughs. The tickled laugh that goes “tee hee hee” that sounds fake, like she’s trying to hard. The gasping for breath laugh when she’s being tickled.
I love hearing people laugh, and think we need to do it more. We all need more joy, don’t we?
