Late in the Day

by Ginafish

I apologize to all those readers who expect me to have blogged by noon. HA! Better late than never works sometimes, and today it works.

I realized yesterday that I should go into business with my sister. I haven’t told her yet, and if I forget, and you read this 3 weeks from now, remind me what I’m talking about. I might have come to my senses by then.

Yesterday, my mother-in-law had invited a lot of family over for an early Independence Day cookout/swim party, and she asked me to take pictures. Let me tell ya…I’m pretty good at barking out orders to people who don’t live with me… :)

I’d go in the house, see who had the most for a unit, bark at them “Time to go outside and get your picture taken!” They’d mind, and voila’. Everyone was captured on my digital camera.

I’d even manage to get them to smile and look comfortable and not too posed. And my camera is a good camera when the batteries are fresh. But the photographer (in this case, me) eh…not the best. I wasn’t really paying that much attention to lighting but more to ‘are they all there, and are they smiling?”

So that’s why I need to go into business with you, Sis. You are a good photographer. You pay attention to stuff like lighting. And except for the busy carpet (you know what I’m saying) those pictures you took last week were great. :)

So next summer when the wedding season starts, I’ll print the copy of who is suppose to get their picture taken with who, you get the camera set up, and we’ll charge $200 an hour, K? hehehe Only problem is that I’m so good at barking orders, I could get the whole photo session for a wedding done in an hour tops. You’ve just got to be equally fast with the lights, and film. :)

So what do you think? Know anyone getting married?
