Oh the places you can go in blogland. I really wish I was a more accomplished traveler. I wish I could go to all sorts of places on this great Earth of ours. I wish I could go to the moon too. I was always quick to befriend the latest exchange student in school for a glimpse into a world different than my own.

Other customs, holidays, foods, practical things I take for granted…Since I haven’t been in school for quite a while, the internet is where I get my foreign fix. Actual travel takes resources I don’t have, but ah nap time….I cherish nap time when I can travel all over the world.

Some of the best ways to do this are through blogs of people who have visited for months, or lived in other lands. Yesterday during nap time, I learned that in Japan it is considered rude for women to show the inside of their mouth (hence the covered giggles, and no chewing gum), and rude to show the bottom of your feet (so no opening the door with your foot), however, belching… great, shows how much you enjoyed your food.

Traveling through the blog land, I’ve been to Thailand, Japan, the UK, the Netherlands, and Italy. When my real travel adventures begin, Ireland will be the first place I go to. Until then, I’m content exploring close by…be it the campsite down the road, or by way of the information highway.
