A weakness

by Ginafish

Yesterday, I finished my Christmas shopping. I had “saved” my dad for last because he is the hardest to shop for. Ever noticed as men get older, their collection of socks, ties, nuts, and food gifts grow…

I was having a hard time finding something in a town so small it has one grocery store, a Dollar Tree Store, two gas stations, etc… A small town. Too bad I couldn’t just get him a Baskin Robbins cake. But it would melt by Christmas. I went to the one ’strip mall’ in town. To a store called “ArtsieFartsie’s”.

Long story short, I did get my dad something there. And, lucky me, a little gift for me on the side. :) I have a fondness for cobalt glass, mostly old bottles. And wouldn’t you know, I’m suppose to be shopping for someone else, and find an old bottle, very clean, perfect condition, for $3.00. So I bought it. hehehe.

So what thing do you have a weakness for that even when you know you shouldn’t, you go ahead and get it? Starbucks? Topaz? Old rocks? Books by a certain author? Dvds you might never watch? What do you feel compelled to buy?
